Joe Donlan leads Connecture’s broker channel, where he brings more than 20 years of experience building innovative sales strategies in the healthcare technology sector. Joe began his career in business development, working directly with hospitals and health systems across the U.S. to solve complex business problems. In 2000, he co-founded Subimo, which helped pioneer the consumer-driven healthcare movement. Subimo was sold to WebMD in 2006, where Joe served as Vice President of Health Services until 2008. The following year, he co-founded ConnectedHealth, which aimed to help consumers achieve better health and financial security through its award-winning ecommerce platform. Over the next seven years, ConnectedHealth’s benefits technology became a leading marketplace solution for brokers and employers alike, with partners, such as Willis, Educational & Institutional Insurance Administrators, Paychex and Keller Williams. ConnectedHealth was acquired by Connecture in June 2016. Joe is a blogger and published author, often writing about healthcare consumerism and the employee benefits landscape. He is also an active speaker in the healthcare conference circuit, most recently presenting at shows for Employee Benefit News, Human Resources Executive, BenefitsPro and the National Business Group on Health.
