HEALTH CARE REFORM THE EFFECT ON THE MARKET, EMPLOYERS, CONSUMERS, CARRIERS AND BROKERS
The Supreme Court has remarkably chosen to uphold major components of PPACA including the ability to impose a penalty (redefined as a tax by the Court) for those without health insurance. This means the question of severability does not even come into play. So it’s business as usual (since March 23, 2010 when PPACA was passed. A mad rush to comply with, design and build all that is required by PPACA on the existing timeline. Get your budgets ready, change is in the making. Only November elections can slow this now.
This session will lend brief insights as to the ramifications of the SCOTUS decision. However, the primary focus of the session will be the cause and effect of the law as it continues to move forward. Onward and upward as required; How does this affect agents and their clients?
