Letter from Conference Chair, Walt Podgurski

Message from the Conference Chair

It comes as no surprise that Employers and Benefit Brokers are facing unique challenges compounded by uncertainty around the subject of healthcare.

Federal healthcare reform combined with a challenging economy and shifting market dynamics are having a disruptive effect on all parties.

There is a segment of the brokerage community that is embracing these changes seeing them as the biggest opportunity to gain new accounts and expand business since the creation of Premium Only Cafeteria Plans in the early ‘90s.

That will be the theme for Workplace Benefits Renaissance 2012 - helping brokers with the task of Managing Uncertainty and Creating Opportunity.

The event will offer the strategies, resources and relationships needed to capitalize on an unprecedented opening to make the shift in benefits distribution an ally in gaining new accounts and revenue streams.

Your participation at this event will offer you access to the knowledge, systems, techniques, leaders, and other resources to put the answers into your hands at a fraction of the time and expense that would be required otherwise, including solutions to help you:

  • Learn and stay current on the key points of Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and other legislative changes that affect you and your clients -- eliminating the piecemeal approach to acquiring the knowledge that you need.
  • Communicate the key points of PPACA and other legislative changes to your clients in a way that emphasizes and reinforces your “trusted advisor” status.
  • Develop a business model built around a complete system that guide you into a continued profitable relationship in exchange for the services you offer?

In addition, and very importantly, the exhibition hall offers attendees a highly efficient “one-stop” opportunity to reach out and touch virtually every type of product and service offered as an employee benefit, and more.

While the Internet has lessened the barriers of distance, it’s never been more important to physically connect with friends, colleagues, business associates, trade journalists and the growing base of marketing experts that have come to represent the Workplace Benefits Association Trade Show experience.

Workplace Benefits Renaissance is more than a conference. It is a powerful community where the on-site networking is a starting point for lasting relationships. Attendees return year after year to connect with existing vendors, colleagues and friends. It also provides attendees with a growing library of resources and long-term networking and learning opportunities.

We hope you will join the network of employee benefit professionals who never miss Workplace Benefits Renaissance or Workplace Benefits Mania.
