VP, Voluntary Benefits, Mutual of Omaha
Martin (Marty) Traynor is Vice President of Voluntary Benefits at Mutual of Omaha. Traynor is responsible for managing the company’s group insurance marketing and EAP, as well as the voluntary benefits area.
Traynor joined Mutual of Omaha in June 2007. With more than 40 years of experience in the insurance industry, Traynor has held key leadership positions covering product development, administration, marketing and sales support.
Traynor was inducted into the Worksite Marketing Hall of Fame in July 2008, recognizing his contributions impacting the products and services offered in the worksite marketing landscape. In addition, Traynor also received the Voluntary Employee Benefits Board (VEBB) Superstar award in March 2014.
For more than ten years, he has contributed to BenefitsPro magazine through a monthly column, “What Works.”
Traynor received his bachelor’s degree in Political Science from LeMoyne College in Syracuse, N.Y. Traynor holds professional designations as a Chartered Life Underwriter, Fellow, Life Management Institute, and Group Benefits Disability Specialist.
